Back to work today

Good luck in your job search Tetra, I don't think your mum will be able to upset you as much any more - exasperate maybe but no longer devastate.

Brynn it takes a while psychologically to adjust to living on your own and a shorter time to adjust practically. Hope your rehab visit goes well

I'm sorry to hear about your dad being unwell but it's good he's in hospital getting treatment. Sending you lots of love!

This is not the right time to be sitting here with coffee. I guess sometimes ya gotta go with it. I'm hoping the rain lays off for a couple more hours until the sun comes up so I can get a walk in this morning. This week I'm supposed to be looking for work. Maybe that's why I can't sleep. It's that "thing" on my mind - like BigS and the neighbors.

Love the hummingbird pic. That was fortuitous. :sleepy:

Hey gang - I hope you are all doing good!!

Back to reality today!! I am thankful that I am not nursing a hangover, recoiling in terror and panic.

Very busy few days, will try to catch up tonight.

All my best,

B

I actually have not been in my yard for almost three weeks.
I guess I should cut the grass that is still growing wild...

Thank you everyone for your continued support. Haven't heard anything about my dad today but it's still early.

Gorgeous morning but it's supposed to get hot. Summer's last throes. Brain, maybe I'll tackle my wild yard later today too. It looks terrible.

I'm reading around on the forum. I'm grateful I'm sober. I am pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten this far without you all. Which just made me realize, 21 months today.

Behan, have a good day back to reality.

Bimini, hope you get respite from the rain for your walk.

Ken, your pep is infectious.

Good morning y'all!

Laundry started in my new machine. I've been using those pods lately...so convenient and tidy. I remember my mom buying those gigantic tubs of detergent at SAMs. What a hassle. So glad detergent has evolved!

Weasel...glad to hear about your pep!
IBrynn....I love living alone, but it took a while before I realized that I enjoy my own company.
Gilmer....I'm going to try to get that movie today. Thanks for the tip.
ruby....I hope your Dad is feeling good today.
Ok....I'm gearing up for Tuesday. ..drinking a delicious cup of coffee. Today should be a good day. I'm fighting some anxiety and fear lately. ...trying to control it with positive self talk and my own cognitive therapy. It's work related.
ok-see you later.

HaF, sending you positive vibes today and throughout the week.

Brynn, just don't eat the pods. So many warnings on them to keep them away from children.

I'm starving, folks! I have to start eating breakfast.

I'm sure there are Gain pods. I've never even heard of them.

Well done on 21 months, Ruby!
I just checked my sober app - day 271 for me.

Life should settle down a bit now. Done at my grandmother's house, my daughter got her apartment, SIL is moving out, he will make his court date, my son went back to school today, and I start working at my seasonal job tomorrow. Yesterday was nuts - today promises to be better.

Congratulations, Marty! I know you love her, but I'm breathing a sigh of relief that she and SIL are out of your house.

Marty...it will be good to get back into a routine with school and work. Congrats on 271 days!

Bimini you're so right! Laundry detergent costs a small fortune! And being out of the loop is very cost effective....it's probably best to stay that way!

(((HAF)))

Ruby....I'll try and restrain myself from eating pods. I got my mouth washed out with soap as a kid and now I have a fear of any kind of soap/shampoo/whatever getting in my mouth. Yuck!
