3 months and finally feeling better physically

So many times this last three month I said to myself I felt better when I was drinking. I do think that PAWs may be an explanation. I would get the shakes and the scary pounding heart out of the blue. Then some days I was extremely lethargic and depressed. Now I have some psychological issues still to deal with. I know I am not totally well but I do not drink. Life is sure tough sometimes. I do lurk here quite often and find it helpful. Lucy

That's great! I've been away from alcohol about the same length of time as you. I don't have shakes or racing heart but I am still achy, exhausted and not sleeping well. I'm looking forward to better health and I know you are too! You can do this

Three months is awesome! Congratulations! I'm right there at the three month mark with you. I had and still am having issues with feeling lethargic but it is so much better than it was.

Yep. 3 months (88 days) almost and right there with the rest of you--still tired but looking better and starting to realize the extent of the damage it was doing to my life...

I'm glad you posted this......I've been laying around for 3 weeks cause I went on a 4 day binge 3 weeks ago......and I've been feeling guilty about laying around.....so it's actually good to hear this is normal. Ive been taking good care of myself and I think that is key to recovery. Today, for the first time in months I'm going for a walk around the lake 3.7 miles. Last time I attempted to quit drinking I didn't exercise, I'm hoping this wil make the difference and eve give me more energy. Thank you for reminding me to get butt moving.......my nap is over lol
