Corn pudding is super moist and yummy! Just add sour cream and creamed corn (ugh I know) to your cornbread mix and bake in a square pan.
Did he go to that "other school" Michigan State? Ggggrrrrr

That sounds good! I will have to try that.

I guess if it resembles cake I'm all over it.
I just bought some jiffy corn muffin mix. Sweet warm corn muffins just out of the oven in a bowl of cold milk is freaking awesome. Don't knock it till you've tried it.

I do like the Jiffy ones, gettingsmarter

I used to eat real southern cornbread in buttermilk when I was kid (so they tell me!) Hard to believe now

OMG!! I took the trash out and saw a tiny baby bunny quivering in the grass. I slowly walked over to it so as not to startle it and it took off "trying" to run. I looks like it has a broken leg. I tried to pick it up to take it to the vet and it managed to crawl under my house. So sad! Poor thing.

^ Absotively, posilutely on the Melon & Salt thang.

Da Wife saw this one in some Yup Food Mag. Sounds weird. Tastes good. It does a number on your Taste Buds via some Sweet & Sour Chemistry.

Really MM? Hmmmm.... I sugar my grapefruit. Oh yeah! I have to put the cream of wheat out. Forgot it this morning. I almost never look in the cubbards. If it's not in the fridge I don't look else where for food. Lol I am so strange.

I just did another long walk around the back cove. That pic I posted. Had the kind of sun drenched day that makes you feel a bit tired. Love it. A real vacation day.

Time to shower and then out in town for some dinner.

Stay sober team!

Will be making this cake tonight...

It's Norwegian Apple Cake.

Need to pick up the tart apples and some cardamom.

how are you going to make "this cake" tonight that you already have a picture of...??
Do you have a wayback machine or something?

You all sound hungry. Jiffy works wonders. I've made the real deal with buttermilk and everyone turns their noses up at it. I have had corn pudding and I like it. I have ground cardamom in my cupboard. If you are doing any Scandinavian baking, it's a must.

The sun just came out in the middle of the rain shower. No gardening. We did go to the museum. Crowded is an understatement. We breezed in as we are members so that made it tolerable.

No relatives from Michigan. I have relatives in Texas. I'm firmly ensconced in Illinois.

Great pics Weas! Sounds like a very nice day.

I'm catching up here before putting groceries away. Don't want to do the shopping tomorrow. Hmm. My fence looks like it's smoking. Must be steam.

Endgame, I did know that was Billy Joel. It just also made me think end of the world. Our news is regularly spouting the comment "powder keg" lately. Either alarmist or they know something I don't.

Time to work. Sour cream and onion dip is probably melting

Yes, hallarious, Brain. Sixth grade humor is so refreshing

Will be my first dip into Scandinavian baking, Ruby.

Saw a Scandinavian cookbook I'd like to get on Amazon. Holding back for now though.
