Welcome Marchers! I am a Marcher of 2013. You have quite a heritage to draw on if you wish. As far as I can tell, every year of Marchers is very strong. Visit some of the other years and you will see why I am a Marchia in Aeternum.
Hi D. I just did a post at the end of Feb class...but it might get missed? Just wondering whether I should join the march class or not? I joined in feb, and now 13 days into sobriety...but didn't quite catch on to how or what the Feb class posts was all about really...I have just occasionally posted in the new to recovery section. I am trying to get sober without any support - apart from reading this forum...so, should I join the march class or, just delve into the rest of the forum...?
Welcome everyone
Littlebear - there's no rules. Post where you feel most comfortable. This group may be better in that you're getting in on the ground floor so to speak, but it's really up to you

Hope you don't mind me popping me head in to say "hi".
My last day drinking was 1 February 2015. The best thing I did was joining SR that evening and the "Class of Feb 2015" was a massive help (as well as the 24 hour sign in group - I'm on my phone so can't post a link).
My best advice is check in regularly and if you feel an urge to drink come to SR and post. People will support you every step of the way.
Best wishes all x

Day one of 50 days sober today as a start then going to take it from there and see how I manage things.
Just started a new thread in beginners please anyone who wants to talk come speak to me, think the more active I stay on here the more likely I am to keep off the booze/drugs.

Back to Day #1, but have been anxiously awaiting March 1st since I had three beers at 9 am yesterday because I get to start over. Thank you all for your posts, I really want to see what it would feel like to not drink for 31 days.
Dear March 2015ers,
I thank you all for coming on board, as I know your choice to do so is going to do a lot of good all the way around.
SR previously helped me to quit DOC 1 (alcohol) but I ended up taking up DOC 2 (marijuana) so here I am again. I am not sure why I have never been habituated to both substances at the same time, but I am sure that I do not want either habit.
Though I am reluctant to post, I recognize the helpfulness of all of our posts taken as a whole, so aim to join in. I look forward in 2015 to Marching with the 2015 Marchers towards our shared goal. Apologies for the terrible pun.

Day 2! Waking up without a hangover and regrets just never gets old!
I've had this song in my head since last night.... a few lines is it remind me of my bad behaviour on Friday.

Day 2, I knew Sunday would be bad as it was my drinking day (I drank everyday),but Sunday's I would start earlier than any other day and drink all day. So instead of listening to that voice telling me 'it'll be ok, just have one' which it's been doing all day. I've never been so busy, the house is spotless and the dogs have been on a massive walk. I hope tomorrow's cravings aren't as bad 😄
