Two.
Alcohol recovery isn't glamorous.

I'm going to try again this week as I have a unique opportunity.

Three days.
5 days is where I almost always screw it up.
I'm glad to have this site. It is
Like a journal. I can see the pattern. I'm glad I've been on here even though I keep falling down.

Four days. I will admit to a little slip up, so I guess I should technically reset to 1. Stuff is much better under control right now. I think the act of breaking the binging was a huge bonus. Basically, when. I first posted here I was totally out of control. Now I'm at least partially in control. I was drinking heavy every day.

Now I am staying sober most days and drinking moderately when "needed" big improvement and I should stop to acknowledge the achievement not only the bad things.

I'm on day 30.
I decided to not post until I hit 30 days dry. Feel great, been doing exercise. Starting to notice cash in my pocket!!

I have a big business trip coming up this weekend - - it is going to be a real test as it is a "weekend in vegas" but I'm pumped to get through it without a drink!

Wish me luck!

Step 2, Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

On Day 9.
Broke down for 4 days - before that it was nearly 3 weeks.
Going to try to work this quit.

I've been the -on again-off again- pattern for the last year.
This time, I'm doing a couple things differently.

1) I'm going to work the steps more closely.
2) I'm going to avoid work related situations where it is implied that I will drink.
3) I'm going to avoid people, places, things and occasions where I would be at risk of drinking.
4) Take it one day at a time.
5) Fill my spare time with extra-curricular activities so that I don't have time to think about going to a bar.
6) Work on my home relationships better so that I don't feel pressure to "go out".
7) Try to check -in more regularly.
8) Add to this list as I discover other things that help the process move forward.

Standard check-in

Heading to the cottage this weekend. Will be good as there is nothing much up there to be tempted by. None the less I will be vigilant. Hoping to get an extra dry week under my belt.

Will check in from the computer up there.

Btw thanks for the support.

Standard checkin #2.
Still sober and dry.
Nearing 3 weeks shortly.
Happy about that.
Pig roast on Saturday will be a bit of a challenge, but will stay aware and are building a plan for that. Plan so far is to stick around the pig cooking area, help out with the cooking - avoid the drinking area.

All is good otherwise. Feeling great to be dry.

Hello hadmyshare, I am new here so was just reading through your posts, there is a lot on here I resonate with. I also need to get a plan in place for work events/meetings, booze seems to be everywhere at work these days. I'm on day 11 which is where I often fall down, but powering through! Best of luck.

A pig roast sound like you should put step #3 into practice!
