Newbie out of detox!
Hi all!
I just left detox after 4 days. Feeling positive and staying with my big sis for now. I'm going to college in September and will have to work a lot to afford being on my own (unhealthy at parents houses), so I'm very nervous about trusting myself and focusing. I decided to join this forum for some ongoing support.
I'm sure I'll be pretty chatty around here. Hugs from Southern Ontario.

Congratulation man. And feel lucky you had such a short and easy detox. Four days is awesome. I personally had a 8 day detox where I had to take so much ativan that the 3 days after I finished alcohol detox I got the joy of detoxing off of benzos with nothing to help ease the symptoms. Count you blessings and don't relapse because each time it gets harder and worst.

me too
I too am just out of detox, 4 days. I am feeling optimistic but I have not been home yet. I am staying with my sister for a month or so but then I will be back home. I am also going back to school. I am scared to be by myself back in my old stomping grounds.

Hi! I'm actually in the exact same situation. Staying at my sisters house for the month until school starts. I can't go home because my mother is an alcoholic and it'll be too hard to stay sober there. It's a ****** codependency that we have.
Feel free to message me about how you're doing. I'm scared too.
