My first 24 hours in a long time..
Honestly, I'm trying to pretend that I'm okay, but I'm scared to death on the inside. I have detoxed before, and was clean for 6 months, but that was about 2 years ago. In those 2 years I've started using Suboxone again, and it's been a long time since I've went a day without it.
I know what's coming, and I'm just scared to death to feel terrible with all that I have to do. I have to be at work at 6am, and I deal with the public. I can hardly handle myself when I'm withdrawing let alone a bunch of needy customers. After my 8 to 10 hour shift I then have to pick my 2 and 3 year old up from daycare and spend the rest of my evening being mommy. Dinner, baths, playtime.. the works. After the kids are in bed I have to check to see if my online classes have started and if so I'll have homework.
I really want to be clean again, but I just don't know how I'll ever make it through these long and demanding days in the process. I'm just discouraged and scared.

Hey, Welcome to the Forum!!
I deal with the public too, and the first few days where quite challenging, it was almost like feeling jet lagged for a week, I found going outside for fresh air a few times during the day or going to the restroom to regroup helped alot, also plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
As time went on though things do get better, the physical symptoms cease and looking back it was worth it!!

congratulations on your return to your first 24 hours.
I understand the fear. I think we all do.
Try to focus on the upside; it won't last forever, it will get easier, and your Life will become unimaginably better.
You can do it.
