Hi! Happy to be here!

I would like to say hi introduce myself. I am in early recovery after 14 years of daily drinking. I am 38 and single. Just wanted to say hi and looking forward to getting to know people here.

It's great to meet you viking! I'm so glad you found us. SR really helped me stay on track when I quit, and I never left. You are not alone.

Congratulations on making the decision to stop at a young age. I wish I could have back all the wasted years. Be proud of yourself for taking this action - you'll never regret taking control of your life.

Day 14 for me. Thanks for saying hi. Fridays are always tough after a long week at work.

Fridays are always the hardest for me as well. I have let them get the best of me a few times during my journey to continued sobriety but no more!

They are tough! I am in a field of work where it's work hard all week and party all weekend. For a alcoholic there is no stop switch for me. When I get into a drinking cycle it's non stop.

I want to give everyone here a little background about myself and hope I can contribute to this site. I have had 1 year, 6 months, and two 4 month periods of sobriety since the age of 25. I have been to treatment 3 times. AL runs in the family as does anxiety and depression. I was on MWO message boards for a while but got fed up with the drama and childish behavior there so I decided I would come here for some new fresh ideas on preventing relapses. I am well versed on reading books on relapse prevention. I am looking for support and also willing to give support to others. I believe support is key in maintaining long term sobriety. I am ready to pull down the sleeves and dive in here. Any help navigating the site and how it works here would be very appreciated. I really like how the site is laid out. Thank you again for the welcome and I am here to help as well.
