Sober all weekend here - happy to be out there enjoying life. Made a goal to be more social and "get out there" a bit more, and happy to report positive results. Good to hear everyone is checking in and ringing the bell!

It's been a wonderful sober weekend full of hard work around the house. I feel really good having gotten so much done. Before sobriety I would have been on the couch so sick that I couldn't even cut the lawn. Life has returned and it is WONDERFUL!!!!

What a GREAT walk in the woods! Did about 4 miles of trails through HUGE Redwoods today with a very good friend. He is very supportive of my efforts to stay clean and sober and said he was proud of the progress I've made.

SO AM I! Life definitely does get better w/o the addiction chain around your ankles!

Have a great week and stay the course.

This was my first sober weekend in over 13 years. It went surprisingly well! Didn't do much of anything. Ate alot and hung out with my boyfriend, his daughter and grandson....oh, and went to my first AA meeting!

Took my dog to the vet for a follow-up appointment this morning. He is getting better, but supposed to be on low/no activity for 6 weeks. Poor dog.
Anyway, I was mentioning in another thread that if I had not been sober, I would have never been able to take him to the emergency vet last week and then follow-up today. Because I am sober, I can take care of him properly.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
