Hi I'm a newbie, been a problem drinker for a while averaging 1-2 bottles of wine daily. Starting detox today x

Hi Silverotter, welcome to SR. Glad you are here, there's lots of support. I was doing the same thing of 1-2 bottles of wine a day for two to three years. I quit at the end of January and feel so much better. What is your plan to quit/detox?

I've started hOme detox with support of my gp. Reducing dose of Valium and supportive partner once detox done I will start aa and learn to live without drink , I'm tired of depending on it and just don't enjoy drinking anymore

:welcome I too was a wine drinker. One to three bottles a day. I feel so much better now that I'm sober.:) Good luck with your detox and getting sober. Come here any time you need to vent or ask for advice. We're here to listen and help you.:hug:
