I am now 9 days sober, yet again. I feel horrible. My birthday is next Tuesday, and I'm worried about the festivities, especially my Mother-in-Law, but not about temptation. She's either going to think I'm pregnant, or gravely ill. The last thing I want to hear all night is, "Do you need to go to the hospital? You look really bad." I'll take any suggestions on what to tell her. Thanks guys! |

I'm really selling the "health conscious" card to everyone now. Which is basically true. Like... thought about what I can improve in my life, and decided to do more exercising and less drinking. I'm not sure about your relationships with your relatives, but I think usually people pay much less attention to the fact that we are not drinking than we ourselves do.
