I dont hate alcohol but I do hate that I wasted 35 years of my life getting drunk every single night.

I hate that people use alcohol as an excuse for their behavior.

Alcohol fueled stupidity is an INVALID excuse.

I loved to drink and spent many years perfecting my craft. I could drink most anyone under the table. Alcohol and I had a wonderful relationship filled with mutual respect. Then one day Alcohol decided it needed more time in the spotlight than me. This continued on to the point I became so sick of Alcohol I had to send her packing. She was nothing but an whole bottle of problems anyway. When I brought her home and introduced her to the family all they did was snicker and sneer at me that Alcohol would be the undoing of me. I so hate when others are right. Anyway I don't see Alcohol around these parts anymore I am guessing she has moved on to bigger and better than me or she finally got the hint after the last time when I lit her cork on fire and shoved her out the door. It was like fireworks when she left that night. It's a night I will never forget.

Not likely. It's not been part of my life for a long time. It would be like going around continually hating the Disco scene.

But I have empathy for those still caught up in it. It can feel like a burning inferno.

I saw a spoof on a Johnny Walker Red billboard. It was two women jogging in swimsuits on the beach. One is saying to the other, "he drinks Johnny Walker, and he likes my daughter."

The other woman says, "That's great! He's a child molester and an alcoholic."

Let's face it. Alcohol is not going to go away.
