Familyman got work release...
At work for a little while today. You can't imagine the blessing of your own toilet, just saying:-) Tomorrow I get transferred to my home county if all goes well. There I may be eligible for the bracelet which would let me do my time at home. Only allowed work and AA meetings but that is fine with me. Either way I have 24 days left (got 10 off for good time).
I was reminded of how lucky I am today as well. As I was at the bus station after leaving jail I watched a older couple argue over whether or not they should spend a $1 on a muffin in a vending machine, an older man was struggling as he wheeled around his oxygen machine and a mother was having a fit with her 3 very small children. I did offer to help but they declined. After jail is over I have a house, a good job and a loving family waiting for me. It is all good...
Glad to hear things are going okay. It's nice to believe that the system knows how to treat those who are willing to reform.
Have to relate a story from yesterdays meeting, about ridiculous things our AV says to us. A person went to jail, and his first impression was, "Hmm, this isn't that bad--just needs a couple pictures on the wall."
