Hope all is well- feeling something is always better than attempting to flee, block and numb.

Dan, you worry me a lot.
I'm hoping that the fact you keep coming back here and posting means there is a little part of you that wants this craziness to stop.
There are plenty of people who really care and who want to help.
When you are ready we will be here.
Please take care x

Your last post outside of this one:

Quote:
I'm not doing anything to stay sober, i rather enjoy drinking if you know what i mean, that said, if there were something that would have me feeling good as alcohol, i'd drop the alcohol like hot potato
Why are you on a sobriety site when you are not doing anything to get sober? Just curious. I'm guessing that you want to get sober, but are afraid of living life in sobriety. I think we've all went through that phase.

Quote:
if there were something that would have me feeling good as alcohol,
You do realize that alcohol is a depressant, right? So how can a depressant make you feel good? I think you're tricking yourself into saying that it feels good to drink, when deep inside you know that it's destroying and depressing you. Our brains can come up with clever tricks to keep us on a substance.

That's what most people say, but don't. It's the part where you raise above the challenges and become a better person, instead of being a slug and letting the substance destroy you. How can you defeat alcohol if you're not willing to put any effort into it?

I wish you the best Dan.

Yeah, that sounds REALLY fun!

Actually, I prefer to stand on my two feet and be balanced - It's kind of the touch nature gave to us so we could do things successfully.

I hope you're not whacked-out on something, but then again this site is use to hearing the stories of relapse.
First thing I thought when I read the title was \/

Sleep it off.
