Does rehab let you bring your computer?

Seems like some of you are posting from rehab but I thought that when you go, they don't let you bring phone, laptop, video game systems, etc.

Is this the case?

No, I didn't get anything either of the times I went, I was self admitted and they searced me and searched my things. It's really a good thing though, lets you repair your soul and not worry about all that technology stuff. Are you thinking of going to rehab?

Haha ok

Gotcha. I was gonna say... sign me up! Then again, it wouldn't be very good separation from the "real world" to get your s*** together if you just got to play xbox the whole time lol.

I am thinking of going. I want to and need it bad. K2, weed, dabbling in a handful of other stuff, and oh my god sleep aids... ambien is my drug of choice and whenever I tell my doctor that he just goes "well, does it put you to sleep though?".

Strip searches??? Are you in some court ordered thing? I'm not going to stand in front of anyone naked, I can tell you that much (I have gained like 20 pounds since I relapsed on k2 anyway... I know i'd be temped to do "marijuanna maintenance" sobriety--I'm trying to tell myself getting my physique back is a good reason not to do pot lol).

I had the usual search and rummage. Wasn't allowed a phone. Two 15 minute phone calls on the weekend. The first two weeks I wasn't allowed any at all. It was all about making sure there was nothing that made me want to leave in the first couple of weeks. I didn't use a computer for 3 months, and as you can probably tell I am making up for lost time.

No electronic devices where I went. We were allowed to use a pay phone during certain times of the day but there was only one (the other was broken) and even that one didn't work well. It was also in the common area with lots of tv and conversation noise. Didn't make the phone too desireable that's for sure.

I think if I went to rehab, it would be for the alcohol and my internet addiction, I think it would be best to leave both at home....I didn't even think you could bring a phone..
