Canadian Thanksgiving - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

This weekend I will be resuming an old tradition of having my kids, granddaughter, and a friend over for turkey dinner. I had let this go for the past few years (preferring to be alone with a bottle), and can recall, before that, getting into the wine as I was cooking. Being half wasted by the time they came over and setting the table with a bottle of wine as the centrepiece. This year will be different. Yesterday I purchased three bottles of sparkling juice and this will be our beverage. I am so looking forward to this time of family and friends, and being totally present during this special time. So much to be grateful for on this day and every day.
If I follow through with God`s will for me today, tonight when I go to sleep I can count 7 weeks of quality (quality!!!) sobriety behind me.
Life is good.

I didn't know Canada had a Thanksgiving but good sober time.

I just went out yesterday and bought several bottles of Perrier for our Thanksgiving dinner.

mmmm...love Perrier, Anna. Take it with me everywhere I suspect there may be alcohol served. Good stuff!
