Sober did not know I could laugh again

Been laughing so hard today it hurts. Man life goes on beyound the bottle. Been laughing at my posts and respones. I guess SR is not about humor but recovery can be funny. Unless that's something Dee says is not OK. To feel happy without the drink, I don't know how to explain. Its just I'm sober and happy, who'd a thunk? So time to go rock and roll.

Humour is a large part of my life, and of my recovery, Fitz.

I find it better to laugh than to cry, better to find the funny side than stew in resentment

Laughter lightens the spirit, I think

I've had some of my deepest belly laughs in sobriety. I didn't laugh like that during my drinking days - not like the sober laughing. Reminiscent of the innocent laughter of a child. Feels so good too!

I love sober laughs.
ALL my best times have been sober with no exceptions.

If Dee Okays it, I would give an "ould" snort every now and again.

Again, I have to explain,
I meant "snort" as in laugh, not the other kind!
Dee would NEVER allow that!
