Feeling sober is better than getting drunk/high?

I don't know why but after 2 weeks of not drinking, I'm all good and refresh. When I get drunk it only feel good for a few hours and thats it. I just don't understand why I get drunk if I feel better sober. My life is understand and I'm not acting crazy. It's weird because I see some sober people not right in the head or maybe I'm over thinking that.

PS: Trying to quit playing Mafia Wars on Facebook. I don't get any joy out of it. It's like I'm drunk once I start I can't stop.

Hi ACT10Npack,

I am very glad that you feel good and refreshed. Can I say that your moving avatar makes me feel dizzy every time I read your posts :> I get terrible sea sickness...

secondly, can I be nosey and ask where you are in the world? Don't answer if you don't want of course.

Some people like the extreme up and downs that addiction introduces in your life. Even if it's on a subconscious level. I know that I did. It took me a while to realize this. I've found that much of this is rooted in self masochism. I prefer to be balanced now.
