| Things I care about today..
...that I neglected in active addiction.
That's all we've done so far. Anyone else have something to add? I have been sober from alcohol for almost 2 years but spent the past few months in a haze of pain, oxycodone and surgery. Finally clean, relatively pain free and enjoying being back to clean and sober life. Not clock watching for my next pill.

Good stuff, SSIL. I can remember never wanting to go anywhere if there wasn't alcohol and a ladie's room readily available. What a way to live.

I care now about geuinely relaxing as opposed to obsessing about things. I care now that i may help some others grow towards sobriety that they want and in turn re-enforced my own. I care that i've given the best of myself to life today, given whats possible.

My kids. Not that I really neglected them before, but I have put myself before them somewhat. So I am spending time with them and acting like a kid. Breakfast for dinner in our PJ's and watching a movie of their choosing. Mmmmm...pancakes and bacon!

I neglected my poor dogs while I was drinking. Now they get the loving thorough care they need and deserve. Sobriety rocks!!
