| Such a Gift, To Be Here For Myself, I'm Here For Others
Sitting here in the evening, sober, shades opening. Saw my next door neighbor wandering down the road, again. No idea where she was going. Purse in hand wanting to go somewhere, I went and got her and settled her in again. I was only there for her because I was here for me. Call it what you will.. I call it Karma. I reintroduced myself for the 100th time and we sat for a few moments on my deck. She said her name was Anita, I knew that but as a child she was called Nita. Got her son, got her settled. Back to my place, shades open. To be of service to someone is to be of service to my higher self. Wish I'd always been sober to be of service but at least tonight I am. I aim to stay alert, it beats inert.
