Quit date set for 23 Novemeber 2009 - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

I have been seeing a counslor to assist me in quiting my drinking problem I will also be using Revia or naltrexone. Does anyone have experience using Naltrexone?

Any suggestions?

Have you talked to your dr?

If so, today is a good day to quit.

I have never heard of those drugs.

No, I don't have experience with the drug you're going to take.

I do have experience in "setting a date to quit" and it kept me drunk for many years. Until I was completely bought in to the idea of a sober life, I stayed not so sober. no amount of pills or time will help more than a genuine committment to a new life.
