Unfortuanely in my experience with Public defenders...They have screwed me more than helped me. But that was all criminal charges...I guess they just dont screw with criminals either.
I had to hire Barry Krishner or somehting like that way back when I was 18 for a fedreal case. He's some big deal state lawyer now I think. I thought he was the attorney general but I dont know. But even as a hired lawyer he almost got me 10 yrs mandatory federal time!!! Only because of the greed of the only witness not getting a reward she wouldnt testify. So It got thrown out. I got so lucky.
LAwyers suck. There really is no use for em in my book.
