Day 16. Doing OK I guess. Sleep got better and now got worse. Really hard to concentrate without caffeine. Stopped drinking diet cola months ago and now back to it. Oh well, it has to get better at some point. Good work, everybody! Thanks for keeping the thread alive! OB |

Hang in there, everybody! We just gotta learn to deal with our problems in a more productive way. Sure, alcohol was an easy solution but it's the road that leads to more pain. Even more than now. And they say cravings fade with time and withdrawal symptoms go away. :ghug |

Day 36 here guys! This is the happiest I have ever been in sobriety. The biggest difference this time is that I have set aside some time each day to work on my recovery. Let's keep going everyone! |

balance And my day goes smoother...regardless. Something else I can share...if everything you do is driving you up the wall....take a quick break. I use the Serenity Prayer and it calms me.... ![]() Onward...todays a great day for sobriety! Stay in focus....sober and safe.

Thanks, and congratulations to you, too. It feels like such a big thing for me right now. I will get my chip at the end of this month; everyone gets theirs for the month at one huge birthday party that we throw at my home group. I'll be very excited to receive it... I guess that's one more incentive to stay sober for the next 25 days |

| It really is. As corny as it seems, the chip system is something else that helps me when I'm down or feeling weak. I think of how lousy it will be to have to start back over because it really is a big accomplishment every day added onto sobriety. Also having to admit my defeat to others.. of course we don't like doing that, ha.My group does the birthday party thing at the end of the month too but offers the chips at the end of every meeting. Having to wait that long would prolly **** me off lol. But yes, definitely incentive! |

Hi One week and one day for me and i agree with jhay: "I think of how lousy it will be to have to start back over because it really is a big accomplishment every day added onto sobriety. Also having to admit my defeat to others.. of course we don't like doing that, ha." That's exactly why i keep logging on here. |

Day 19. Feeling OK although still not sleeping well. At last I've become less anxious and irritable but still a long way to go to "normal." Exercise helps me a lot with that. And, of course, my friends at SR! |

Day 14...woke up pretty good mood, drinking my green tea now (ack)...I don't like it, but I know how healthy it is for you, and it promotes weight loss...helps my digestion too...Going to head to the mall in a little while, try to find something for Mother's day, then grab some flowers also...Overall my mood is good this morning, let's see how long this lasts lol...One hour at a time.
