Sick of being sick!

I am at my wits end... I have been sick now for a month. First a sinus infection, then bronchitis, now sinus infection with bronchitis. I took a round of antibiotic, so it must be viral, because it did nothing. My eyes look like something out of a horror movie, red and swollen with dark circles.
I probably sound like a pathetic whiner - feel like one too...

I've only managed to make it out of the house once or twice a week during this period of time; other than to take my daughter to basketball practice.
I havn't cooked for 3 days. My husband has been doing pretty much everything.

My goal today is to get some laundry done and make some chilli for dinner. It doesn't sound like much, but it's more than I have been doing.

Oh well, it could be much worse - I could be drinking on top of it all. I'll take sober and sick anyday.

(((((((toomutch)))))))) Hope you feel better soon. Seems to be lots of that brand of crud going around. I had the sinus/bronchitis/throat infection rotation in September. Three rounds of antibiotics finally kicked it out! Do not underestimate the power of chicken soup or albondigas! Something with the garlic, salt and warmth.

Here's an old wive's remedy for you. Put some Vick's VapoRub on the bottoms of your feet at bedtime and put socks on. Silly as it seems, my congestion cleared up quite a lot!

Love to you,

Lenina

thanks Lenina - Lord knows I've been rubbing enough of it on my neck and chest, may as well smear some on my feet too. I'm talking Vick's... Not chicken soup.

Pray you feel better soon.

My wife quit drinking a while ago and seemed like she was sick for months, not sure if there is a corrolation but I'm sure our bodies immune system doesn't like too much alcohol.

Get well. Peace.

Another tip for the vicks is a back massage (only alittle vicks).

It helped me

just thought back massage not in a kinky way and if one thing leads to another remember to wash hands

Cant do any harm tho!!!!!

Oh that sounds awful Suzette! Im just getting over a cold myself, luckily it wasnt a real bad one. Stay warm and cozy.

I know that alcohol weakens the immune system, which kinda seems weird to me, I would think that alcohol, since it kills microorganisms, would kill invading nasties in our bodies, but I guess not.

Felly - You're right I think alcohol does weaken the immune system. I can look at it that way knowing I may alot worse off with this virus if I was still drinking.

Now this is the honest to God's truth . . . as I was going through my graphics in Photo Bucket, my cat was hurling out in the kitchen. Ahhh, nothing like cleaning up cat yack. At least he had the good sense to go to one of the two rooms in my apt that isn't carpeted. Makes clean up a whole lot easier!

Keep counting your Blessings, Suzette, ". . . husband . . . daughter . . . a nice warm home. . . food . . .

Cyber hugs, I don't want what you have.
Judy
