| this show was big when my neice was little. she got a little casio keyboard for christmas and she'd stand on the fireplace hearth (her stage for MANY performances) and make us play "name that tune" for hours. the problem was she only knew 3 songs - theme from mash, itsy bitsy spider, and twinkle twinkle little star. we'd have to pretend like we didn't know the songs sometimes to make it interesting, and clap and cheer when we got it right. ha! my whine - kids don't stay cute and little long enough... next!

Good morning all! Here's my whine today: a woman gave me "the look" when she saw the bruise on my chin...I felt like a Sunday Night Movie of the Week person! Ugh. lol Least: how are you feeling?!! this has been going on forever! i hope you DEMAND some kind of tests from your doc! JN: how sweet with the bingo!!! what a great nurse!!! you've obviously made a wonderful impression on her, just as she has with you. bl: mosquitos are GROOOOOSSSSSSS!!!!! That buzzing sound....ugh!!! Are they getting in from outside? or just hanging out? Could you get some of that bug spray (not the deterrant kind, but the actual murderous kind) and spray your room with the door closed and kill the buggers? then just scoop up their corpses and leave them as a lesson to others. |

Thinking of you Ananda even though you are probably sleeping soundling right now!!! DG - Howled when I read the "felt like the Sunday night movie of the week." Play it up and say to people with your eyes down, I ran into the door. I am so clumsy. They'll feel sorry for you and maybe you won't have angry customers for a couple days. No one wants to pick on the beat down woman. Re: Mosiquoto problem. I actually got sticky tape and have two of them stuck there this morning. I find some satisfaction in that. Not a big fan of spraying poison with my babies in the house but seriously considered it. OMG...I just crealized what a crap friend I am and have forgotten to write someone back for like a week. |

Woke up this morning with a sore throat thinking I must have slept with my mouth open! Went to Activities Room...had coffee, and a few laughs...all better now. Whoever said it on here a while back, laughter is the best medicine! That in mind, I'm going to check my email from grand daughter. Will return soon.

| Italian Women Are Tough An elderly Italian man lay dying in his bed. While suffering the agonies of impending death, he suddenly smelled the aroma of his favorite ravioli wafting up the stairs. He gathered his remaining strength, and lifted himself from the bed. Gripping the railing with both hands, he crawled downstairs. When he reached the bottom of the stairs, he leaned against the door frame, gazing into the kitchen, where if not for death's agony, he would have thought himself already in heaven, for there, spread out upon waxed paper on the kitchen table were hundreds of his favorite ravioli. Was it heaven? Or was it one final act of love from his wife of sixty years, seeing to it that he left this world a happy man? He threw himself towards the table, landing on his knees in a crumpled posture. His parched lips parted, the wondrous taste of the ravioli was already in his mouth. With a trembling hand he reached up to the edge of the table, when suddenly he was smacked with a wooden spoon by his wife. "Get out!" she said. 'Those are for the funeral.'

Doctor's office called me today to ask how I was feeling. I told them. Sick at my stomach, dizzy as hell, feel too sick to eat but to weak to sit or stand for very long. Am going back to doctor tomorrow morning at 9 AM. Am getting really depressed over this. Too weak and exhausted to give the dogs a proper walk this AM. Am going to lie down for a while, at least my dogs keep me such good loving company! I'm getting really paranoid here, feeling so sick all the time and not knowing what's wrong. Do'nt know what's worse; worrying about what it might be, or worrying about a specific diagnosis. I'm more than a little unhappy. Been sober for 74 days and feel worse than ever. Wo'nt drink tho, that would just make me feel worse. Sorry to be such a crybaby, just sick of crying and sick of being sick.

Aw least, I'm so sorry you're still feeling like crap!!! Whatever it is, it's ALWAYS better to know so you can get the right treatment!!! And you're absolutely right that drinking would only make you feel sooooo much worse!

| Member | for you Least and here's one more Hope you start feeling better. Let us know what you find out at the doctor's office tomorrow. My whine for today is after paying bills we have enough money for gas in the cars, but not much in the way of food money. Will see how creative I can be with the food already in the house. Medical insurance for son and myself is over $400 a month!! Its outrageous! We found we can find private insurance at half that rate and told husband's employer. He supposedly was shocked it could be found cheaper. I am going to sign up for the insurance and hopefully, add $300 more to the budget each month. That would buy the food we need. WE NEED A CHANGE! Went to the district offices today to sign up to be a substitute educational assistant. I pray that comes through. That would help out financially. Sorry for the vent. I know there are way more serious whines and at the very least, we are paying the bills. We aren't saving and we aren't eating out anymore, but we are paying the bills and for that I am grateful. another hug for you Least. I don't have anymore because of the 3 limit. Sleep and rest today.

If you can possibly make large amounts of meals and freeze them...it's surprising how much food goes to waste. You can do wonders with a huge pot of spaghetti gravy...but, I'm sure you already know that. I worry about my daughter, since he's not working, and they've only had their house for a year and a half. She's so glad they planted a lot of vegetables this year...they had a bumper crop, which has helped out a lot. Good luck, all...and, keep the faith!

I feel for you, Least. Been feeling (a lot) like you have lately. My medical doctor found my thyroid to be a little high two months ago and dropped my dosage to half of what I was taking. I've been in a tailspin..he's upping it in tiny increments a month at a time. My pscyh and I are both being "patient". I hope your doc finds a simple solution to your problem, hun! Prayers..

I can relate to the penny pinching - my fingertips hurt from so much pinching! And fyi, money problems are always a worthy whine! We all have them! And no matter what, I have loving family and friends, and of course - my beloved dogs! Just hope that whatever ails me is something identifiable and treatable. As far as the Evil Fleas go... I've been sprinkling garlic and brewer's yeast powder on my dogs and cats dry food for years. Haven't had a flea problem in years either!
