Hi Jules62,
I want to thank you so much for posting this thread. It brought me to tears this morning, literally, and was finally prompted me to post for help on this forum. I have been so fearful to ask for help for so long. But I really understood that moment, with the wine when you threw it away. I was not so strong, though. I have threw some away and ended up buying more very quickly. I admire you for your honesty and I am so thankful!

Hey Enough,
Well you just made me cry too.To think I actually helped YOU decide to get help?Holy crap! Do you know what that means to me? I am both humbled and thrilled here.Thank you. This is what SR is all about. Please know you're not alone.I'm telling you-if I can do this?Anyone can if they make the decision. And it's not an easy one-as you've seen. But I am so proud of you for doing something. We will all be here for you as you travel this journey. You don't ever have to be alone in this again. That's a promise.
You just blessed me so much with your post.Thank you.
Welcome to the family that is SR

Thanks Jen-but AA is not for me (I have gone to meetings) and it isn't the only way I can feel better.I'm feeling a lot better today having shared here and having gotten much love and support from sober friends both online and offline which I'm extremely grateful for.
I'm glad AA works for you but it's not my path.I appreciate your concern though.

Hey Trish If you look at my avatar-I was made hall monitor of bottoms a few days ago. It's just silliness-but fun
It's so good to laugh after days of sadness.
Thank you for all your posts-you have encouraged me and made me smile so often when I thought I couldn't.
I have to go get dinner on now but just had to comment.

Jules: Just read your post and wanted to tell you...I love a happy ending.
Seriously, I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I pray that you are through that one. I love your cheeky little posts and don't want to be without them...call me selfish.
