Hi - recovering coke user hi everyone im new, been looking at some posts for a while now and have decided to join to get some answers as i am very worried. well background is i did cocaine on and off from the age of 17/18, i am now 21 and have finally grown up. it never did effect my life that much towards the end as i really slowed down ( i have a great job, house and BF) but i noticed lately the change in my nose, why i never cared before i dont know but i am a good looking girl and dont want to ruin my looks (let alone my heart) any further. i have stopped for 3 weeks now, i reguarly go to the gym/swimming and have for over a year, i eat well and generally have no health problems (look healthy ect) the one thing i am worried about is the damage i may have done to my nose. I have a question... will the septum grow back? i know itll take a long time but people have said it will, i have no hole there it didnt get that far luckily but it has disintergrated a fair bit and i am seriously hoping it will grow. i also have no scabs i can see and it isnt at all dry, but i can feel as if it is sore a bit on the right side further up the nose, it didnt hurt before. im guessing this is because now i have stopped it is finally healing? does any one have any information on this? how long will it take to heal? i know it will prob be years but how many months until i notice a difference? sorry this is a long post but this has been going round in my head for so long now, im scared and need answers to put my mind at rest. please read this. I am never touching that evil stuff again and i would advise any one thinking about it then DONT, its not worth it thank you xxx

Hello! I don't really have a lot of information to give you about your question. I went thru a year of coke use and don't remember having any problems with my nose... my heart... that was another issue. However, I can relate to your feelings about not knowing. My abuse of alcohol started taking a toll on my body not too long ago and it was really scary. I went to the doctor for a check up, but didn't tell her about the alcohol abuse. I think I just needed the check up for piece of mind. You should probably see your doctor and it would be best to tell her about the abuse, but even if you don't I think a good annual check up would pick up on some problems. (This is not medical advise, just sharing my personal experience) Good Luck! ![]()

Welcome, and congrats on your decision to change your life (away from coke). I don't know about your nose, perhaps see a doctor.
