Hi Friends:

I remember finding these forums exactly a month after I had my last drink...I had been a 12-pack a night drinker for 37 years and could never even conceive of living a completely sober life. I was scared, very scared, that I wouldn't be able to keep going with my newfound sobriety.

I was so inspired by the people who have shared their stories and their souls here that I clearly remember the night a few weeks after joining when I stopped fighting drinking and just surrendered.

Today is day 138 without a drink and for about the last 100 of those days it has basically been a non-issue. I owe the pleasure that my once-lost life has turned into to the people who touched me here

Wow, that's inspiring. I'm on day 35, so I have 100 great days to look forward to.
