I drink about 3/4 bottle wiskey every evening, never drink during the day only from 5pm ish till I fall asleep.

Stayed sober for 5 years but since my wife died 3 years ago hit it again.

Gonna try to clean out the drinks cabinet tonight and start clean tomorrow.

Just got re-married and don`t want to spoil my life even though my tee-total wife understands.

Welcome to SR creative - great name.

That's an awful lot of drink to just suddenly cut out - you spoke to your doc about it?

Stay safe, wishing you all the best in your recovery!!!

Hi and welcome creative . I'm glad you found the forum. RK makes a good point about seeing your doctor. It's a wise idea if you haven't already.

Welcome what a great wedding gift for your new wife and yourself. Are you going to check with your doctor and do you have a support group?

Creative,

I lost my husband a few years back and I too relapsed. (I actually relapsed while he was dying of brain cancer) I had 8 yrs clean. So I do know what you are talking about. I too have re-married and had to get clean again. My husband is very understanding and a sweetheart which makes getting clean even more important to me. Today I have 110 days clean.

You can do this! Sheila

WOW, just read the posts on what to expect.....scary stuff.

Don`t have a specific GP here in Greece but shall look into this on Monday.

Shan`t start clean today just in case I have problems. (Thats a cop out really) maybe just cut down.

Glad I found you all, I know you will make a difference to my life.
