Living life one day at a time is what it is all about. It took me a while to get that but now I appreciate it. My life has changed completely from that 1st day in the rooms and it is sooo much better. Even the tough times are not so difficult to get through as I have my HP and friends to get through.
I am grateful to the old timers that were there at my very first meeting as I believe that the foundation I built with their help is what carries me through even today. I remember how hard it was to imagine dancing again, never thought I would be comfortable doing that again and having a friend at the Soberfest say, Hey, nobody will be watching you - they are dancing too! WOW, what a relief, needless to say, I have not stopped yet! :-)
One of the most important things was learning that everything that I did/went through had a name so I was not the first person to do/go through that. Also, I am never alone - who knew?
That is it from me this morning! I am so very grateful for this day.
