I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

I am not an alcoholic but I felt I was heading in a wrong direction in my life and possible future alcoholism. I slowly weaned down off a few daily drinks and am completely alcohol free as of march 15 2008. I plan to stay this way for at least 90 days and will then evaluate if I ever have a drink again or not.
I know I learned a ton of lessons. I know I was on the wrong path. I hope to never been in that position again and abstaining is 100% priority for me now.

I kind of hate these countdowns because someone always thinks that someone’s length of sobriety is proportionate to their knowledge of the program or that they have something beyond those that have been sober less time. I know people that have been dry for decades that are in real need of a program.
That said, I have been sober since the eighties – the nineteen eighties for any of you wise guys. LOL.

If, you have to evaluate, on your drinking again, maybe it is a good time to stop !
