Sunday afternoon open AA chat meeting - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

TGIF everyone! Glad the weekend is almost here. Welcome to all the newcomers who've registered on SR this week, we're happy to have you here.

OK, instead of doing my usual Sunday night open AA meeting in the chat room I'm going to have it earlier in the afternoon thanks to the suggestion of a good friend (Thanks thanks Jomey!) so we'll start at 5:00 PM Arizona time instead of 9:00 PM on Sun., 3/2. Hopefully that'll make it easier for some of you to join in at an earlier hour.

Also, instead of having everyone share freely I'm going to ask that we try to prompt with an "!" exclamation point before we share. Last week it got a little busy and I'm afraid we might've scared off a newcomer or two with the flurry of posts. I certainly don't want to run anyone off from good sobriety!

These meetings have been fun and informative for newcomers and old-timers alike, so please join in and share your experience, strength, and hope with everyone!

Sign me up Scott, thanks for doing this. I hope the new system works, you're right, it did get a little rowdy last Sunday. Maybe we can have the social gathering after the official meeting

And in honor of the new time, I would like to let every one in attendance know that I will be bringing some munchins!. I was thinking, hum, lets see, . . . . perhaps some chocolate chip cookies?Lol!

Rowan suggested we try the ! in the first 1/2 hour or so, then we'll open it up to sharing freely. Sounds like a great idea! Thanks Ro!
