Thank goodness, he accepted his alcoholism (along with AA), and had 22 years sober before he passed away a few years ago. I hope he's making that Big AA Meeting in the Sky!

| Me, too, Carol! As a newbie about 27 years ago, I remember driving down the Parkway on my way to an AA Women's Retreat, and a guy behind me honked his horn. I immediately thought, "OMG...I hope I didn't cut him off or something." Then, he gave me the "thumbs up" as he passed me; and I realized he, too, was "A Friend of Bill W." I felt so proud to be a member of AA!
