Hi, new member here...

Hello to all those that feel pain and joy that same way i do. I am 25, male, smoker and a frequent marijuana user. I smoke about 1-2 cigs a day and weed about 3 times day. To be honest with you, I don't exactly know why I registered. A part of me thinks i have a nasty habbit that will cause be long term unhappiness and another part of me thinks i'm just a young successful guy living it up. I was also touched by the stories of other members. I enjoy various drugs such as cocaine, norco, vicoden, mushrooms, alcohol on occassion.

keep posting and welcome, Ithink. Keep reading all the old and new posts.
Watch when it mentions progression of alcoholism or drug addiction.

Thank you all for your warm welcomes. I'm a firm believer that sometimes you just need to talk to a stranger :-) i'm sure some of you know what i mean. One love.

Welcome Ithink,
I agree about the need to speak with a stranger. Objectivity is important when making life decisions.

I was once a frequent marijuanna user. I realized that the bad outweighed the good. I had to look at it in an objective manner. I wrote a list of pros and cons and seriously considered the weight of each entry.

The bottom line for me was that I just didn't get high anymore. It was a routine, and I wasn't getting anything more out of it. After I got over the initial discomfort of withdrawal, I found that I had much more time and a clearer mind. I look at my daily MJ habit as a waste of my time now.

Thats just my thoughts on weed.

One more thing to add.... I suffered a perioid of withdrawal when I quit my daily MJ habit. After the withdrawal cleared up, I was fine. I seriously feel like I'm so much better off without the habit. I am a young, successful guy who is enjoying life too. I'm now doing this without ANY mind altering substances. Life is good enough for me now.

I hope you find what you are looking for here. Keep posting!
