Alcohol Free Christmas Stories

After visiting a few other threads and coming off Christmas weekend 2006, I began wondering about what others may have experienced or could share about their Alcohol Free Christmas?

I know for myself it was the most wonderful time I can remember spending and sharing the holidays. It had it's moments and share of tension and decision making surrounding alcohol.

I can not remember ever putting presents together on Christmas Eve or Christmas dinner without Vodka Tonic(s). To drink or not to drink...That is always the question for me.

Yeah Right!! Every new day I realize how "To drink" was just the way I thought it was okay to behave and never saw how it was running over my life....Just like a bus!!

Any good Alcohol Free Christmas stories?? I can't wait to hear them! I know someone has something exciting to share about Christmas 2006!!

I already shared mine in "The Spirit of Christmas". As for excitement, I had enough in the 48 years before I found AA to last me a lifetime!

I remember my first holidays i so enjoyed after
i got sober and spending 28 days in rehab back
in Aug. 90....

I recall that awesome feeling...that pink cloud
i was riding on with no alcohol to depend on...

I armed myself with many meetings, no alcohol
in the house and Thanksgiving, Christmas and
New Years meal to fix for the fist time sober.

I even remember how awesome all the music sounded...

It was like i had heard it for the first time and it
never sounded sooo good.

I have had many sober holidays since...Thanks
