| Do you have a story to tell?
I wasn't able to sleep very well and was going through some of the work I did in my 90+ day rehab program (over 2 years) ago and came across my unabridged bio I had to present in group. Lots of experience - not much to offer on the strength and hope. I also also really liked the stories in the back of the BB but for non-spiritual purposes I was eager to read how bad it was for some people. Also in NA and AA meetings ( not just for me ) the general concensus is that new comers are very welcome not just because they keep us sober but because they show that the game hasn't become any more pleasant or desireable as that of a life of recovery. I have been seriously been in so many rehabs, hospitals, halfway-houses and detoxes that I can't even fathom a number. I have heard so many things, and things people would NOT want exaggerate or brag about! So I was just curious if there are any people out there who are new or an old timers that have story they would like to submit so that I may do a compilation with my own insane bio. My bio was a ridiculous 22 pages but if something longer or shorter works for you thats cool too. I'm just a voracious reader of anything related to drug and alcohol problems and haven't really heard of anyone doing this. I think it might be interesting as well as helpful to writers and readers. Email me if you have any interest! Ryan M ( Paul Hsu is NOT my real name, I'm not THAT crazy! ) |

| I'm not quite sure what you're purpose is, but you might want to check out this forum: http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/stories-recovery/ There are plenty of stories to read there.

| Since most of us are either in recovery or trying to get there, my feeling is that we'd rather focus on the present while accentuating the positive aspects of living in today. I personally have shared my so-called "war stories" both here and at meetings...but, don't wish to have them included in a compilation. If, or when, I decide to share with the rest of the world, I'll include them in my own memoirs. Good Luck with your endeavor.
