I think this is pretty cool. As I was getting ready for work this morning, I emptied my pockets and put my change in a bottle. Ever since my first day clean, I've been throwing my change in a jar. This wasnt something I planned. Just kinda worked out that way. I have never tapped into it, or borrowed from it. It's been 18 months now. I have almost filled up my 2nd one gallon jug with change. There must be several hundred bucks in change. I have no idea what I am going to do with it, or when I will cash it in. But, everytime I throw my coins in the bottle it reminds me of how rewarding being clean is and how much I have accomplished. Just thought I would share that.

I think I would treat myself to something nice or special. Maybe on your sobriety anniversary... One day at a time. Steve

i too have been tossing change into a shoebox. i tap into the quarter supply occasionally to do laundry but its been 10 months so i have quite a bit of pennys, nickels, and dimes. i doubt theres much in there...maybe 30 bucks. but eventually it will turn into something.

By all means, borrow my idea. I look into the bottle each day as I toss coins in remembering my first day clean. Seeing all the coins that have accumilated, reminds me of all the miracles I have been blessed with in the last 18 months.
