Hope you feel better, Snooz.

I didn't mind the criticism of the salad. I certainly don't want to make food that tastes bad!

What frustrated me is that I thought I was really doing something extra-special by getting the heirloom tomatoes (at almost 3x the price of normal ones), but instead they turned the salad into a gigantic BOMB!

Hope you are feeling better by now Casey.

Snoozy, hope your sore throat doesn't last long; that's how a bad cold usually starts for me..

Happy belated wedding anniversary Mr and Mrs Bob!

Love to all Julyers!

Hello all,

Snoozy, rest up, I'm sorry to hear that you feel unwell.
Same goes for you too, Casey. I hope that things are beginning to settle.

Gilmer, I'm sorry, I didn't know that you had suffered through cancer. Everything ok now? I hope so.

Croutie, where in Ireland did you live? That's where I'm from, the north.

Bob, Happy (belated) Wedding anniversary! You are such a rock of support for your dear wife.

Mags, oh dear, I can't imagine what it must be like for you. You cope very well with a difficult problem.

The play reading went fine, but I didn't enjoy it. Small talk with people, it's hard work. Mark seemed distant, it was hard to talk with him. He's clearly not interested in me. It all felt awkward. I feel he used me to drone on about his separation. Dumb me, no one to blame but myself.
Why has all the joy gone out of things? I should be happy I'm in a play.
I even lamented not drinking yesterday. There was a bar at the theatre. Everything felt so strained, awkward, I almost thought, why am I struggling on? What for? Should one feel like this if you're doing sobriety "right"? Why do some ppl always land on their feet and others struggle though a vat of molasses?

I can't complain though, it's been a long time since I've been under the weather. Had my flu shot a few weeks ago. Just feel really, really tired.

I had things I wanted to do today. Wash my car. Drop clothes off to Goodwill.
Clean all my floors. Doesn't matter, it'll all be there waiting for me tomorrow

I'm gonna listen to my body and just rest up.

The voice finale is on tonight so I'll watch that with some choccy and iced coffee, that'll do the trick xx

Leshar you are only 59

So you have nearly 6 months to go before the big one lol. Enjoy it.

I'm 55 and the thought of getting to 60'dosnt scare me at all. I feel it's an achievement. I'm lucky to get there at all considering. So each day is a blessing xx
Try not to dwell on what was with your job honey. Look at it this way Leshar... you would be looking at retiring in the near future and making plans, so make plans anyhow.

Your brothers house !!! Omg 3 million !!!! I almost keeled over :

Such opulence , but each to their own . The thought of cleaning that brings me to tears ! A lift ...wtf... for two people.

As I've got older I love to live more simply. I've never had an ensuite, I've never had 2 toilets or 2 bathrooms...even when there were 6 of us.

My cats have their own rooms now the kids have all gone. The boys in one & the girls in the other. ....so funny when it gets to about 9 o'clock and they are anticipating me getting up.

All I have to say is WHISKERSSSSSS in that weird crazy cat lady tone and they all assume their positions. Hilarious

Gilmer ...since when did everyone become a salad critique extraordinaire ! Geez Louise ! I bet your feelings were as flat as that tomato

People don't think before they say stuff at times, but being the good ole trouper you are I loved the humour you took out of it. It made me chuckle .

Suzeeeee you're baaaaaackkkkkk yayyyyy xxx we've missed you girlfriend. Don't worry about nasty messages. It says more about the people sending them than it does about you. They can politely ?$&!

Casey, sorry about your food poisoning , that's a crappy thing to have ..yuk ( pun intended )

Bob glad your wife is well xxx what sort of steroids...I'm curious. Try not to worry cos everything is ok now and I'm sure it's going to be in the future for you both. They can do so much now xx

Dee & Leigh & Mags and Croutie, Ladybug and Lulu , Crois, Pete, Nikki,

Hugs to each and every one of you, dear friends xxx
Rest, rest, rest, sweet Snooz. Have plenty of water, chicken soup, or plain hot chicken broth.

Feel better soon.

Leshar, I lived in the south...Co. Cork. It was an amazing experience.
I am so sorry you are struggling; I know the feeling. Sometimes I feel sorry for myself and wonder why things happen like they do. The eternal mystery of life, I guess.
Hopefully you'll feel better soon Honey. One thing I know for sure, drinking won't make anything better.
Hugs,
Croutie

I'm fine now, Leshar: cancer-free for seven years.

I had melanoma of the eye. There was a pea-sized tumor inside my eyeball.

They put a radiation disc directly on it for four days (I couldn't feel it at all); then they took it out and sent me home.

I had to get four laser surgeries afterward to burn away the dead tumor; but now I'm pretty much right as rain.

I do have permanently blurred vision in my left eye; but within a couple months my right eye learned to compensate for it.

I have suffered no other ill effects!

Amazing! I am wildly grateful that this cancer was so quick and painless to eradicate.

I know well that most people have a far, far more grueling time with cancer.

So glad that things ended so very well for you, Gilmer.

Not sure Wendy.
She gets 3 drugs. One is an anti nausea, one is the steroid, then the neulasa 24 hrs. Later. Do they give your friend Angie the same?

Better-ish. Still not feeling 100% but I'm getting there. Just tried eating again, we'll see how that goes.
