Congratulations to today's Milestoners - that's some serious Sober time!!
At a dinner party last night, it occurred to me that I no longer feel apprehensive sitting among drinkers. It. Just. Is. - I'm a non-drinker. I was confident and content. Thank you my SR family!

I just broke down and called my mom. Let me simply say that I've always had a bad time confiding in her. Talked to her about my mental illness and shame and drinking to shut my brain off. I also talked about lack of access to mental health care and worrying about work and family. For me to call mom, yeah... I want/need direction. She is going to talk to her therapist tomorrow about all i said and ask for advice/help. I'm hopeful and for nothing else I'm glad I had that conversation.
That was a courageous step, dear one. I am so proud of you.
Keep us posted on what the therapist suggests.
