Just catching up on you all
Drake - my thoughts are with you re your recent slips. I am fortunate in that I have gradually come to realise just how precious sobriety is to me.
I shared at an AA meeting today and really talked a lot more about grief over the deaths of each of my parents and how that has impacted me in my life than about the active stages of alcoholism; that alone tells me a lot about the greatly lessened grip that alcohol has on me now, but, of course, it is all one day at a time. A relative newcomer had a slip last week and I was overwhelmed with gratitude that I am no longer tempted to slip.
I just keep trying to keep doing the next right thing.

And love to all the Overs.

Good morning, all!
Itchy, love your "old style Itchy post"! I hear you on the 2-window method but in the early am I use my fruity mini tablet and so 2 windows is just not practical . Living at the OFH I find the memory burps less scary. I'm certainly not alone and feel safe.
Andy
Suze, good luck with the placement tests!
Thanks, RZ.
FG, yes! I am grateful every day. I start the day by reading and posting here and that taps right into my gratitude.
FBL, you are a terrific son. I can "hear" in your posts that your mom is cared for and about.
Happy Monday to all.

Short work week, but plenty to do. I'm taking Friday off as I have to drive 350 miles back to Minnesota. Taking Mom out to eat Friday night, then will try to catch a quick nap as I'll once again be on the radio from 10:30pm-midnight in Minneapolis. Then on Saturday we're taking Mom out for her 80th birthday. Should be a fun weekend.
Have a Marvelous Monday, overs!

Morning overs
Been an hectic few days, so I had to catch up a bit.
Inpar, fantastic news on your meeting for the Friday night slot. Have you seen the cold frames you can get for your plants in your garden.they're great and there are varying sizes. It gives you an opportunity to start young plants in and get the benefit of the sun ( when it's out) whilst protecting from the rain.
Belated congrats Dharma! 2 years is Brilliant!
Love and hugs to all my overs family.

Beautiful sunny and cool morning here before summer like heat arrives later this week. Had a good nights sleep, which makes me feel so much better mentally and emotionally. I know, commonsense. But when drinking, I would live on four or five hours a night at best, on top of alcohol to boot. One take away from sobriety is that I listen to my body more than I ever did before. I just don't try to bulldoze through things on willpower and coffee alone now most days. Better late than never I guess.
Hi Drake!
Wishing all the best!

Hi FG!
" A relative newcomer had a slip last week and I was overwhelmed with gratitude that I am no longer tempted to slip." Well said.
RZ,
Hey stranger!
YW Suze! Let me know how you like it. I haven't been back to Columbus since 2007. How did the tests go?
Sassy,
Thanks, YW, glad you liked it!
I already have three onscreen windows open with my email filling half the screen on the right, and two screens open on the left half, the browser Firefox on top and under that my TV or Sling TV. (I am listening and watching the big political story of the day on CNN.) I meant having two tabs open, one to answer and one to read each. SAee my attachment at the bottom showing two tabs I switch between. Glad you feel secure with our unceasing flow of life.
Hi Andy you too! Glad you are getting some much needed rain.
Hi PJ!
Hi Star,
We are in the 88-90s range and will get cooler later in the week. The opposite. Star I'm glad you are easing back into good circadian rhythms for you. I have let mine slip back to watching new movies and series on Netflix till 3 or 4 AM and getting up at 11 or noon. I need to get my days and nights reversed again. It seems you are in the majority. Many had difficulty getting a good night's rest. I sleep deep regardless of stress. tensions, good or bad. Glad you are doing well on sleep.
FBL,
Good on you! Your family sounds great! Bet Mom is grateful every day for her children. I will PM too.
Mags,
Hi! You have a great week too.
Drake,
It's about time. (15 days) So keep your nose clean probie for your years probation and check in at least once daily and meet with us. Only 350 days to grow. You can waddle right through it bud!
I am putting new tires on my cars today when they come in. Just waiting for them to call me in.

Morning Overs, yeah Sass if you use safari you can open two Windows the same time. I keep all my SR threads open on safari so I don't have to faff around finding them!
Molly is going to the v-e-t today for her annual boosters other than that she always seems in good health, fortunately.
Happy Hump Day Overs!!
