One Year & Over Part 50
Hi Stargazer! Well it was sunny for a few glorious days, but now it is back to the rain. This spring has been total *&%$.
But hey, there are seedlings coming up!! Two little rows of peas sprouting up all neat and tidy!! And the little kales are coming up too! So cute! One of the lettuce seedlings I planted died though, not sure why. It turned to mush.
I'll keep you posted! I planted all the rest, the border beds, with ornamental stuff and a little area for herbs too. Planted a black lace elderberry, a few different ferns and hostas in the shade area, lavender, a big clematis to climb along the fence, oh and I dug out a couple of raspberries and added a blackberry. Gave the raspberries to coworkers, and now I have a little mixed berry row! Maybe I'll post some pics next time.
I've felt a bit stuck lately, or off kilter. The long weekend I had seemed to make me more apathetic towards my job, plus the stupid personal drama that that silly woman created really put a damper on things for me. I just want this job to be over. And I don't know what to do after this......
I've been running more regularly which is good...I think I'm just bogged down.
But all in all, I guess pretty positive. Reading "The Universe Has Your Back" again, last night read a chapter about letting go of judgement, it seemed to help me feel better.
Anyway have a lovely Thursday evening and Happy POETS Day to those of you who reach it before me.

Morning overs
Sassy it's POETS day and I will be leaving early today, 3pm as usual on a Friday.
I'm so sad inside for a friend who's marriage is breaking up. We're not close friends, she is in the village and I look after her cats and chickens when they go on holiday. I just can't understand it, they seem like the perfect couple! They are going on holiday to Rhodes in a few weeks so I'm hoping and praying , fingers crossed that they will manage to sort out their problem whilst away. I don't know why I'm saddened by it though, we aren't close and I really have relinquished saviour of the universe badge!
I think I've reached an age where I realise what life is and oh I wish I had this knowledge years ago. It's not all hearts and roses, life is and can be tough, it doesn't change, as itchy says, we changed when we got sober! It brings to mind the poem 'Don't quit'.
When Things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and debts are high,
And you want to Smile but have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he'd stuck it out,
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You might succeed with another blow.
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might captured the victor's cup.
And he learned too late, when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown,
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't quit.
Have a good POETS day over.
