Beautiful, eh?

Me and my brother spotted a beautiful Oriole in his backyard on Saturday. They are VERY shy birds and the about the only way to attract them is with jelly and/or oranges. I was going to snap a photo, but he flew away too quickly.
Here's a YouTube vid that will give you an idea of what we saw:

Thank you, and thank you Kris darling....will look into that.

And what beautiful birds FBL.

We were able to salvage half of our tomato plant; it was heartbreaking to see about 17 immature cherry tomatoes on the large broken piece of the plant.

Oh no love....but at least you saved some.

Really not sure how our garden is right now, going to have to wait a couple of days to know.

I had my international student orientation today, and it was a long busy day for both of us.
I will get to see how the garden has fared tomorrow I think.

Lots, but only a few in my group starting in the summer semester. And no one else my age, that's for sure. I commented while we were walking around campus that I bet I am the only Australian at CSCC, and one of the advisors said nope! You will see. Hmm. I hope so.

Yes for sure, also overwhelming and a touch daunting even....I learned today that I will be studying for way longer than I had planned and I found out how much homework I will have every week....apparently more than 26 hours. Holy crap.

Anyway, onward.
