Good afternoon Leigh........well, evening now.

Oh that is one good lookin' tree. And one I've never heard of before....maybe they don't tolerate the heat down here. Today I've been unsuccessful in my search for a plant called Goshiki false holly. I quite like it and have another couple sources to try. Such a blustery day!, as Pooh may say.

I'm so glad you have turned the corner on the surgery recovery phoebe, and with the turn of season things are looking up for ya!

Showing a house with kids is tough Arbor. Hang in there and wait for the payoff. A big step for your flock to be sure.

Processing more info from my son today has me fighting the blues and a bad attitude, so what's a guy to do? Book a falconry lesson at Ashford Castle of course! I love stuff like that. And Kroger had a new shipment of oysters, so I shall indulge in a treat.

Wishing all a pleasant weekend.

Falconry huh? Is that what I think it is...?
Nope, it wasn't.

Hope you can find Goshiki holly Mark ~ it looks absolutely lovely.
We actually just took out our not-false holly plant (he he) and gave it to our neighbour as it attracts bees, and I am AFRAID of bees....well, allergic anyway.

Sorry that more has unfolded re your son....just remember that you are in a very good position to understand and give advice. I know, he may not want any advice, but sometimes you have to listen to your dad whether you want to or not.

Sending you tons of love.

Thanks, Mark, but I actually narrowly escaped an emergency surgery. I did not actually have it, but might have to at a later date. We'll see how things look then.

Sorry your son is causing you stress and worry. .

Well, I've been quite an early riser since the hospital stay. I Think it's a combination of newfound sober sleep(I'd relapsed rapidly...saw how progressive this can be) combined with disruption of any normal sleep while in the hospital. So, I wake alert and well rested at 5 am, or 6am, but need a nap in the afternoon. I need to try to get it so I do most of my sleeping all at once, overnight. But, sober sleep is always the best, no matter how we get it!

I actually love spring/summer mornings with the windows open, hearing the birds chirping. It sounds like a jungle out there today! Huxley wants very much to go out and to bark and howl, but I'm not allowing it. He'll howl forever into the woods if we'd let him...not sure at what...or he's just excited and joining the chorus, lol.

Well, my fellow early riser, my son, just got up. Maybe I'll make pancakes. Have a good night US friends, and G'day to Dee and Phoenix. Haha, oops, said that backwards, lol. Good day in the US, good night in OZ!

I am amazed by the birds ~ the sounds are so completely different than anything I am used to. And how beautiful they are....the red ones are just divine. I have forgotten what they're called......looked, them up, they are scarlet tanagers.

Glad you are coping with all of this darling phoebe....proud of you love.

I am having terrible trouble with sleep at the moment....it's a long story.
Not for right now I don't think; I 'm actually a little irritated.

Have a great evening/night, phoebe.

The thought of Huxley barking into the woods brought a smile.

Sleep, huh Suze? I can imagine. A lot of change for you. Plus, if your partner is anything like mine a good set of ear plugs will do.

Busy, hot day here. Three showings were scheduled, one no show, and one came very late. Only one showing scheduled for tomorrow so far. Fingers crossed!
