I started the outside garden yesterday....the trees were already there.

That is my second prayer plant....I love those plants.
This one was ours just a little while after it arrived at Lowes....we got there at exactly the right time. We both loved it the second we saw it!

The hyacinths were also already there....we have watched them come up over the last 2 weeks. We had no idea what they were at first....just little green leaves sticking out of the cold earth. Soon they will be beautiful purple flowers like the white one I have inside.

Some of the flowers (the red ones in front) got a little battered by the rain last night, but Nick thinks they will be fine.
Planting some petunias today.

I just love, love, love the home you and Nic have created. It is such a beautiful reflection of the two of you.

I know: I am incorrigible.

As Bill has mentioned, there is going to be a cat in our lives....soon...lots to do and get used to first. And yes, her name is going to be Willow. And boy is she going to love it here.

PS...the tough stuff is around the course I came here to study....there were some mistakes made on the part of the international student co-ordinator who organised my paperwork....we thought it had all gone very wrong for a few hours today. It was rather scary for both of us. And VERY stressful....hopefully we are working it out. I think it will be OK.
Oh boy - that's the kind of nightmarish scare you sure don't need!!!!!

Petunias already Suze? We have another six weeks of possible frost here yet. Make sure you cover them at night with heavy paper bags if they are calling for temps below freezing.

I love all the plants inside and out!

Hmmm.....I know nothing of frost star.
And the weather WAS just so warm for a few days, too hot in fact.
I did see the forecast though, and there are warnings for the next few days.

Tornado warnings here, a horrible cyclone in Australia....still checking on casualties and such. It looks to have been mostly horrendous damage.

Thinking about our dear aussiegirl whose sister lives right in the middle of all of that.

Mindful breathing....yes PJ. Doing that now.

Debs has not claimed lives (1 accident pre cyclone with 1 fatality and someone has bad injuries from a wall falling on them). It is a very slow one with an incredible amount of rain with it. So - flooding and wind damage now the worry for the poor buggers.

My purple hyacinths are the only plants that have flourished for me--in fact, they have multiplied. My white one bloomed too early and withered in the cold snap, but the purple ones are still going strong, and they smell heavenly!

That fragrance will bring you such joy when they bloom!

I'm actually allergic to them....of course. I am allergic to everything.
The fragrance gives me a headache and a half....I seem to be coping with the white one inside though.

I'm glad the purple ones are outside....they will look lovely without harming me.

Fantastic that yours are doing so well love.

Not to worry, there's a goat here who will eat the flowers that might hurt our lovely Suze

Hey Suze, stopping in to say hello and sending thoughts of peace and happiness your guys' way
Thank you for sharing your journey with us

I did not know about the cyclone. I am so far removed from news around the world. Thinking of everyone who needs some safety and peace today
