Class of March 2013 Part 50
Duff I believe things happen for a reason. I know that you are hurting as you experience the raw newness of what is happening, but I also blueberry it will strengthen your relationship with your boys. Being away from the noxious atmosphere you lived with, will make you a happier, more relaxed, more loving freer mother. Your boys will benefit from the strong role model and happy relationship you forge with them through this experience. You have our. Love and strength. Always
And thank you to all of you. Your support means the world to me.
Yep - we are in the midst of the blizzard. Lots of snow - latest forecast is about 2 feet of the white stuff! It's nice and cozy and safe here.
Sassykitty is sprawled on the footstool of my recliner and hasn't left any room for my feet! She looks huge spread out like that.

Here in DC we were prepared, if not for a blizzard, at least for a nice snow.
We got just a few flakes--but we pulled out all the stops. My oldest daughter and her family came over and the kids played. One big highlight was sitting with two bowls of popcorn watching Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein.. It was great--I was on the edge of my seat!
The premise was that Frankenstein was too big for his britches (so to speak ), so Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi at his creepiest) wanted to surgically switch his brain with the stupidest brain he could find--and that turned out to be Costello!
Not only was there Frankenstein and Dracula, but Lon Chaney, Jr. was also in it as a gratuitous werewolf. Hijinks ensued!
I think I'm going to seek out more Bela Lugosi movies. He was the ACTION!

Hi Everyone!
Sass hope kitty gets well soon. We have been taking care of a sheltie for
a friend and it has been a week and let me tell you. This little gal is growing on us. She's getting a little spoiled. Has to go back home this week-end. Makes me kinda sad.
Hope everyone is ok !

Thanks, all!
By a not fun process of medication elimination, the vet has decided that Sassy kitty has herpes! She probably has had it for years in a dormant state and changing owners and homes apparently caused stress that activated it. As sweet as she is, giving her meds is decidedly not enjoyable.
