Hi Suze and happy Sunday morning.

Almost 6:00pm here, so time to go find something for dinner.

Hey guys!

Had practice last night. On the way home, it was like 12:30am I got pulled over. 54 in a 40! Gal let me go with a nice verbal, though. I never get pulled over. This was definitely the first time since being sober. I could tell she was really checking me out for drinking. Was nice to know I had the upper hand! My record is clean as slate and I'm sure she saw that and let me go. Amen!

That's great that she let you off with a warning Arbor. I think I've been through a couple of road blocks in the last couple of years. Almost enjoyed it. Also I'm glad that you had some time to hang out with your buddies and do something you enjoy.

I had the bright idea to make homemade chicken pot pie this afternoon (double crust ). It looks good and I'm about to dig in but kind of ended up being lots of work so it better be good!

I hope everyone has had a nice weekend. I'm actually ready for Monday! I don't think I've said that many times before.

Ok, pot pie time........

Love and hello and yes Arbor, it is really an amazing feeling (for me, anyway) to get pulled over by a cop these days....there are a lot of drink/driving check posts here. And they can pop up anywhere. And if you try to take a detour to avoid them, you inevitably get chased. I've seen that happen time and time again.

It's annoying, and time-consuming, but oh how empowringit is to blow in that thing and get a zero reading. The nice policeman smiles at you and wishes you a good day. Oh, the precious gifts of sobriety.

So glad you were let off with a warning....nice police officer. And no speeding fine is a big bonus!

Hello darling Leigh, and all of the Octsobers. ♥

Happy Monday folks,

I have a few minutes at my desk before the action starts. Steam is curling up from my cuppa, pandora is playing my tunes. Large effort at positivity today!

Wishing each of you the best day......and Suze a nice evening rest.

It makes me laugh every time I see it.....thinking Dee's probably seen it couple of thousand times though.

And hello dearest Arbor. And Mark. And Leigh.

I texted Briar and heard back....I miss her a lot, but was very glad to hear that she is alright.

Hey phoebes, how are you love?

Just passing. Arbor- the verbal warning was good. I used to get miffed at non male friends who got off with a verbal by crying.
There was a guy at a meeting who was very proud- sober and drove through a random breath testing station . THEY DID NOT PULL HIM OVER! He was so incensed he started obsessing over it so much he did actually began driving around the block to go through the RBT- so he could have his turn.
I think such an obsession over sobriety and recognition (apart from being a funny story) is good.

Thanx, Phoenix. That's a bit much. That mans story. I would never go that far. But I do think it's good to be proud of your sobriety. Absolutely. Sometimes I want to shout it to the world!
