Happy Birthday Applekat!
Clearlyheaded - way ahead of you! I have two alarm clocks. One on each side of the bed and out of reach. I have the most annoying one set behind 5 minutes, so I have time to turn it off before the siren sounds.
No more being on call for jury duty! That's done today. Lotsa dental surgery coming up this month. Not so fun! Have a sober weekend if I'm not back later!

I'm in a better mood than I have been in a while. I think that flu bug knocked me for a loop.
Well done to all that have overcome some urges. Sober muscles up in here!
I went to my AA meeting last night and that seemed to give me a boost. Kind of like going to church - I feel like I'm healing my spirit.
Ah, well - no more dreary Bobbie for a while I hope.

Upstairs - it really did the trick this morning. My first instinct upon opening my eyes is to hit snooze. I can't very well do that if I have to get out of bed first. It then becomes a conscious choice to snooze, and if I'm up out of bed, I'm in a more alert state to override that urge, lol.

Just back from getting groceries and visiting Petsmart...food abounds for all life forms here again...lol. If we run out of Coffee, (DH) Smartfood (DD) or Beggin' Strips (Charlie) all bets are off.

I listened to the inauguration while our radio guys commentated.....busted up laughing during the singing of "America the Beautiful" by the choir....the guys must've gotten bored because all of a sudden Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" was being mixed in along with it. One of those 'you had to be there' moments but it cracked me up!

Home from DD's basketball game. One more regular season game, and one more tournament. Coaches are trying a new play where DD is under the basket So she can take shots. She had two nice shots tonight, but that first basket is still elusive. She played great tonight!
It dawned on me earlier today that yesterday marked the longest stretch of sobriety I've had since I was pregnant with my kiddo. Day 19 is winding down.

Thanks for all the birthday love, class!! Bobbie thanks for the Harry Potter birthday wishes - priceless! Lol!! Waking up to day 20 after a busy, sober birthday. My daughter's birthday is tomorrow so everything gets smooshed together for us. Her "friend" party is today - wish me luck that I don't crave a drink after a pool party with 22 kids.
