BTW, gang, I had not realized Suze was here in MA the other day, so we tried to connect very last minute. I had it on my calendar for next weekend that she might be around here. Anyway, while we missed seeing each other, I did get a voice message from her on my phone. It was lovely to hear that awesome Aussie accent! It made me happy!

She is doing really great! She drives herself to soccer practices! Yay for that! She needs to get out on the highways more, maybe with a co-pilot, but some of the roads around here are awfully heavy with traffic. It makes me nervous. Our local highway is easy, and she jumps on that here and there to get around town, but no big trips. Things like the Mass Turnpike, driving into he city and such, she has not yet done.

How I remember those days; I fretted about my kids on the busy highway, too, and I never slept until they were safely home.

I am recovering well now. I developed an infection and was prescribed an antibiotic. When I had my sutures removed, my doctor advised that she thought that I also had a reaction to the sutures, as well as the latex and/or the adhesives therein. While I was there, she treated/burned two additional areas which she felt were slightly suspicious. I have a follow-up in two weeks so that she can reexamine those areas.

You know phoebe, I think I've a prepaid card or two around here with some residual value. Leftover from sending with kids on their travels etc.. Great idea.

Sorry you missed out on an awesome Aussie visit. I had to give that idea up as I realized the logistics wouldn't work before I leave myself. I just don't have the freedom to do much without several weeks of pre planning my work schedule. By posts in the 24 seems as though she's having a blast.
