The loneliness is getting to me but at the same time thinking about being around people is scary.

Sorry you feel a bit lonely today Angie - why not think of some things you could do tomorrow?

Why not give it a try, Angie? Being around some people might be ok. Did you have particular people in mind? Meeting new people?

A former coworker who left in April wants me to tell the boss that she's available to work again. She left her another job, that job didn't work out and they let her go. She wants me to go talk to the boss. I would love for her to come back, I just feel uncomfortable going to my boss about it. She was on her final corrective action for tardiness before she found the other job. I think she should either call or talk to the boss herself. I feel awkward going to my boss about it.

If you feel uncomfortable about it, then don't do it. You are right--she should go talk to your boss herself.

Thanks Casey. I want to do it because she needs a job but my boss isn't very approachable. I'm very nervous to say anything.

I think your instinct that she needs to do it herself is a good one, Angie

Hi Angie - I lost this thread when it transitioned to a new chapter. Glad to find you again.

It sounds like you're doing a good job listening to your instincts regarding your former coworker.

You were asking for suggestions earlier; I find Melody Beattie to be an inspiring author. I find a lot of comfort in her work.

My friend told me that she has a interview with her dream job at her daughter's school. I hope she gets it.

Management gathered us all together today to let us know that a coworker had died. She always had a genuine smile on her face and would greet everyone. I'm not sure what happened but they said she had been sick for a while and I bet she wasn't even 45 years old. I worked in a different section than her so I didn't really know her that well. I remember often thinking how how graceful she looked and how she carried herself. It's very sad.

I am wanting a drink. It was really bad a few minutes ago. The voice was screaming at me that this would just be the last time and we all know that's a lie. I'm going over the list and the desire is going away.

I'm parked outside the store. I've been here for 10 minutes in my car.
