Sounds like a blast Mark! Always wanted to try zip lining.

Funny, when I was young I was very afraid of heights too. When it came to climbing trees though I never had an issue. I certainly had to get over it even more so with the specialized lifts as I got into arboriculture. Now have zero problem with heights. Just today I was on the roof blowing out the gutters.

I don't spend much time in the canopies anymore (more involved in the plant health care/sales side of things) but some days I'd certainly rather be. 8)

Be safe and enjoy!

Hey gang, well we had our traditional Thanksgiving meal this evening here at the cabin. Food seems to taste great here and I've gobbled like a hog! (Southern lingo?) I have my eye on some more dessert before bed. This approach to eating will have to come to an end soon!

Hey....the weekend is just starting. I love it.

Good luck with the car shopping tomorrow Arbor. I sometimes thought we needed a semi with all the kid stuff we hauled around.

Did it in Cancun-DD loved it-I could not wait for it to be over-in fact, I got stuck and had to rescued. Kinda ruined the rest of the day for me. Not my favorite memory.

I'm not sure which I'm more afraid of... Car-shopping or heights. Good luck to both of ya, arbor and mark! I can't wait to hear all about both adventures.

Glad you're feeling better, Dee. Keep resting and healing.

Soooo I pigged out on leftovers at my parents' after the game (Houston won! *airhorn*) and have felt useless since. I managed to pack a few more boxes, but that's about it. Home Alone is looping on a local channel, so that has been a fun excuse to be lazy on the couch tonight.

Stay well Octsobers!

It would be funny if they looped Groundhog Day.

I am lying in bed about to have a nap. So lazy.

And I have an awesome new show to watch tonight BD. And I've just forgotten what it's called. .. BRB

"South of He**"

It looks awesome!

Can't wait to see the new car Arbor!

Good morning! All that holiday food gave me the craziest dreams last night. I feel like Dorothy from Oz...and you were there, and you were there...lol
Shaking it off with coffee and a grocery list that includes loads of veggies. Since I've got the day to myself, I figure it'd be a good idea to cook ahead for the start of the week. Also going to start the day with a sunrise walk by the lake...such good stuff. I'll try to snap a pic.
Happy Saturday everyone!

Sunrise walk postponed until further notice. Apparently it got cold and rainy overnight. Gotta love the changing of seasons in Texas because you just never know how it's going to pan out.

Back to packing I guess. Boooooo lol

I'd rather walk than pack too Conquest.

Dutch baby and breakfast ham and cheese pie in the oven. Gotta build up my strength for zip line!

I saw the family off to NY at 7am, and went back to bed with every intention of walking the dog when I got up later. I stayed back to puppy sit. Got up around 9:15, and it is raining. Supposed to rain all day long. Oh well. He may walk in it. Sometimes does. I will give it a go before I shower and do my hair, lol.

Phoebe, I have to kind of trick my dog to potty when it rains. She won't go out the back door, but she loves to go out the front door. So I open it and she takes off before she realizes that it's raining. I don't feel bad about it because I rub her down with a towel when she gets back. She loves that.

It looks like rain all day here as well. So in total avoidance of packing, I made the following...
Overnight Oats in Mason Jars (an acquired taste that my guys won't touch for a million bucks)
Overnight Oatmeal Tutorial + 20 Delicious Overnight Oats Recipes - Organize Yourself Skinny

And Omelette Muffins (These are great because you can add anything to them and they reheat really well.)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VtaeQPibuTU

Now I guess I'll start packing. Lol

Briar, we have many ornaments that were chosen by DD. I mentioned to her yesterday as I was putting the tree up that the Big Bird ornament was the one she chose at two, not my fave, but not my ornament, LOL. We also have lots of handmade ones. It's a nice tradition to start with A.

Conquest, my dog will go out through the garage on very rainy days when he refuses the back door. Funny.

So you all with dogs will get this. When they bark and growl at nothing, and you are alone, and it kinda freaks you out? Yeah, that. LOL. Hux has been barking and growling off and on at something mysterious for an hour!

About to dig into a big bowl of mashed potatoes, stuffing and leftover turkey. Yum! So much for the 4 pounds I had lost...

I still get easily spooked when I'm by myself at the house. When the dog barks at night, I freeze solid. If there was an actual burglar, I'd be in trouble.

Conquest huny, those oatmeal recipes look amazing. Finally, something that I can actually make and eat!! Thank you.

I would rather pack than walk at this point because I am still very sore from some minor surgery and I am overweight. So walking would be good...tomorrow.

Hope you are all having a good evening, and a good morning for you Dee.
